Forbes magazine reports an additional 178 more billionaires this year in addition to the 946 it has already pinned down. Once again topping the list of the world's richest is microsoft founder Bill Gates with $56 billion, followed by Warren Buffet at $51 billion. It is good to hear that, according to Forbes, these two super rich guys are "doing something, helping the downtrodden." Mexican telecom king Carlos Slim Helu is third at $49 billion. The youngest billionaire is German prince von Thurn undTaxis who, at 23, has inherited his massive wealth from his family. The latest Michigan rich folk to make it to Forbes' list is Gilbert Ilitch. Forbes magazine lists yearly the names of the world's richest and features an exlcusive club of billionaires of less than 1,000 members across the globe. William Ford Sr. did not make it to the list this year because of the drop in Ford Motor Co. stock.
