The President of the Philippines (GMA) has recently named the city where I live, Dumaguete City, as the most peaceful city in the country. Kudos to the Dumaguetenos and keep it up! This alone is one good reason why tourists should make Dumaguete a "must visit" city when they come to the Philippines.

yep, i agree that philippines is really a peaceful city. although we sometimes encounter different problems with in the town but its normal. people living in dumaguete are still gentle and very hospitable. we dont have many natural resources here in dumaguete but the fact that the people are good then its a big deal already.
